Small Jet Crashes at Scottsdale Airport, Leaving One Dead and Three Injured

Arizona: A tragic plane crash at Scottsdale Airport, Arizona, on Monday afternoon left one person dead and three others injured. The accident involved a small business jet that veered off the runway and collided with a parked plane, authorities confirmed.

The jet, identified as a Learjet 35A, was arriving from Austin, Texas, when its left main landing gear reportedly failed, causing it to lose control and crash into a stationary Gulfstream G200, Scottsdale city spokesperson Kelli Kuester stated during a press briefing.

The aircraft involved in the crash belonged to Vince Neil, the lead singer of Mötley Crüe. However, Neil was not on board at the time, according to his representative, Worrick Robinson. Robinson also confirmed that two pilots and two passengers were on the plane.

Emergency responders rushed to the scene, where one individual was pronounced dead while three others were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Their identities have not yet been released.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has taken over the investigation, while the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has temporarily halted flights into the airport.

This incident adds to a series of recent aviation tragedies, including a deadly midair collision near Washington, D.C., that claimed 67 lives and a medevac jet crash in Philadelphia that resulted in seven fatalities.
